Asking and Answering Questions in Fiction Text

Fiction - Short Passages Scaffolded
3 pages, each with a short fiction reading passage, to help students practice asking questions about text. The first page provides question sentence stems to helps students come up with questions to ask about the text. The second page provides answers, and students must come up with the question. The third page has 1 sentence stem, 1 answer, and two blank spots for students to come up with their own questions and answers.

Fiction - Asking Questions Task Cards
24 task cards that can be used with ANY fiction text. The task cards guide students to ask and answer different types of questions about the text that they read.

Fiction - Create Your Own Test Questions
Students read a 1 page fiction reading passage, and then have to “Create Their Own Test.” Students come up with questions about the text, and then write the answer key to their “test.”
